Reflection:

Day 1

We enjoyed collobarating with new people.  They were on task and on point!  This will be great fun for my students next year.  We want to use Ozi Explorer next time for putting in the waypoints.

Day 2

Tony from DSSNP was full of plant knowledge.  Enjoyed the GPS refresher.  It was good to see our team members, we really do enjoy working with each other.

Classroom Application

Day 1

When you return to school in the fall, how will you use what you learned today in your classroom?

-We will do at least one gps scavenger hunt in each 6 week period.  Some may use the scat, track, etc...

How will you use what you learned today to train the teachers in your school?

-We will definitely use the GPS knowledge in our re-teaching.

Day 2

When you return to school in the fall, how will you use what you learned today in your classroom?

How will you use what you learned today to train the teachers in your school?

The practice identifying trees will be helpful when we take our teachers out in the woods.

Most Intriguing Thing About Today...

Day 1  We loved Ms. Joy's presentations about The Great Dismal Swamp State Park.

Day 2  The forestry tools were neat.  It was fun to use the tools to learn more about trees.
